    Research that
    supports change

Translational research and plain-English explainers, published openly.

Our research story, 2004 to 2026

    1. 2004

Eidos grew from the Institute for Educational Research, Policy and Evaluation.

    2. 2006

Seven Queensland universities signed the Deed of the Eidos Network.

    3. 2003 to 2010

We completed 26 research projects, including an evaluation of Queensland's Preparatory Year, workforce scenarios to 2020, and eight forums with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

    4. Congresses

We held National Public Policy Congresses and International Public Policy Congresses in Cape Town.

    5. To 2017

      We ran the Eidos Challenges.

    6. 2018

      We paused our own research.

    7. 2025 to 2026

The Board was renewed in 2025, spent its first year listening, and is now building.

    How our research works

Our round tables bring practitioners, impact investors and family offices together on one issue, and run as research focus groups.

The Research Committee turns what we hear into research questions, and studies are often funded by participants or people they nominate.

Outputs are translational research and explainers that support change at local and national level.

    Our first study

How artificial intelligence may affect Australia's tax base and social systems

Budget $15,000, now being raised in pledges.
