Eidos Events

Each year, Eidos will host at least six lunch or breakfast style events attracting speakers such as State and Federal Government representatives, Australian University associates and internationally recognised business people. Previous speakers include Julia Gillard, Anna Bligh, Ken Smith and Charlie Leadbeater.

Eidos events can attract up to 400 people per event with attendees from Government, Universities and prominent businesses. A draft schedule of events is included below.

As an Industry Partner you will receive:

  • Ten complimentary tickets to each event in 2010 with priority consideration for seating. Eidos will endeavour to provide you at least one seat at the head VIP table at your presenting partner event and position your complimentary table close by.

  • Opportunity to display your advertising at each event – any signage, banners or other visual material to be supplied by you.

  • Inclusion of your logo in all printed event advertising, including the event program.

Presenting rights each year of this agreement as agreed by both parties. Presenting rights are listed below:

  • An executive from your company has the opportunity to give the vote of thanks and closing remarks after the Key Note speaker

  • Banner on the main stage

  • Logo included in the video recording

  • Named as the presenting partner in the opening addressed

  • Indentified as the presenting partner in all advertising

  • Opportunity to review guest list for your presentation event, from which you may invite specific attendees to join your organization table


Roundtables

Roundtables are generally a discussion with up to 10 participants, lead by key university associates or policy makers. The aim of these is to share knowledge, ideas and influence.

As an Industry Partner you will receive one roundtable each year shaped to benefit your organisation. Topics must adhere to Eidos research themes of:

  • LIFE: lifecourse learning and work transitions;

  • WIRED: new communications, technologies and education and social policy;

  • COMMUNITY: learning, labour and community;

  • SUSTAINABLE: sustainable education systems and education for sustainability; or

  • SAFE: strengthening the nation’s social and economic fabric.

Invitation to other roundtables hosted by Eidos that are relevant to your industry or interests. The number of roundtables varies from year to year. In 2010 there is likely to be three round tables. More details will be provided on these events as they develop.


Reach to Eidos members and programs

Eidos boasts a membership base of more than 5000 from universities, government and private researchers across Australia. Major research is decided by the interests of member’s through the Annual Research Congress. As an Industry Partner you will receive:

  • One Eidos Senior Associate status and one Associate status.

  • Your company’s logo and hyperlink included on Eidos official website and any appropriate materials.

  • Associates to be invited to the Annual Research Congress.

  • Invitation to be included in any research launches, small events and webcasts through the year.

  • Opportunity to leverage Eidos connections with key Government, policy makers and business people – assessed on a case by case basis.

  • Access to tenders and business development opportunities through the weekly Business Development email.

  • Participation into the 2011 CRC bid. The focus is on human capital. You would have the opportunity to be an industry leader in the research program.

  • Opportunity to establish Eidos Institute as in house Research and Development unit.

  • First preference for consulting partnerships in tenders and proposals in your field of interest.

  • Access to five affiliate memberships


Research capabilities

  • Priority consideration for requested research project completion – It is understood that your company would have to pay for any research projects on top of their sponsorship contribution.

  • Access to Eidos published research and key researchers.
