Eidos Institute, on behalf of the National Seniors (NS), investigated the feasibility of establishing an online gateway, provisionally titled NS Consulting. The purpose of the gateway was to link retired and semi-retired professionals who are members of National Seniors to work opportunities offered by the Eidos Institute. These members are likely to be experienced policymakers, academics and consultants.

The gateway will allow interested NSA members to load their CVs and indicate their work preferences and availability. Eidos will contact members when suitable opportunities that match their skills and experience become available. These opportunities could include advising project teams, mentoring emerging researchers and policymakers, and refereeing reports and publications. Because the majority of this work can be undertaken at home/remotely, NSA members from across Australia can sign up.

Objectives:

The objectives of the project was to provide a gateway for national seniors to:

• get connected with potential clients, service providers, and subject experts;
• be found for business opportunities;
• search for great consulting jobs; and
• network with other policymakers, academics and consultants.
