  Eidos + Showcase

Organising and sponsoring showcase events focusing on the research training needs and outputs of research higher degree students and early career researchers.

Eidos organises and sponsor a series of showcase events that profile the excellence of research amongst partner agencies. The events include an awards showcase that recognises the quality and application of early-career research and a workshop in collaboration with a national and/or international research agency (eg the National Science Foundation) focusing on key issues of mutual interest.

Benefits

Contribution towards Eidos goals and targets
Eidos + Showcase makes a significant contribution to the achievement of Goal 2 targets, particularly the level of participation of Queensland agencies in national and international forums. The profile gained through these forums will have downstream benefits for research capability and securing major research funding. The initiative also supports Goal 1 targets related to the level of collaborative innovation, particularly from early-career researchers.

Benefits for partners
Partners benefit from Eidos + Showcase by participation in workshops and forums with nationally and internationally significant research agencies. These workshops provide fresh opportunities for developing and profiling innovation amongst the partners. The initiative also increases the motivation and capability of early-career researchers.
