Encouraging and facilitating open exchange of information and sharing of research resources
Eidos has created an online information exchange environment that enables researchers, policy-makers and practitioners to promote, respond to and monitor ideas about some of the key educational and social issues of our time. The website sets new standards in levels of online interaction encouraged amongst participating agencies and other areas of expertise by creating "communities of interest" online. Such an approach has the potential to rapidly support the growth of shared knowledge. Eidos + Online is a key support initiative for other initiatives including Mentoring and Tendering.
Benefits
Contribution towards Eidos goals and targets
Eidos + Online, along with other initiatives, increases the number of researchers, policy-makers and practitioners working collaboratively through both formal and informal networks. It increases the perception of users about their ability to access and contribute to knowledge that is relevant to the key issues of educational and social concern.
Eidos + Online also provides an online interface for national and international researchers, policy-makers and practitioners supporting those key ideas of strategic interest to the partners.
Benefits for partners
Partners benefit by their researchers and policy makers being able to exchange relevant information in real-time. Over time, they will become linked with national and international expertise on issues of critical strategic concern.
